Less than 2 hours in Tarragona

Hola, Hola.

This Monday I had the opportunity to go to Tarragona because of work.

After the meetings we decided to explore the city in the two hours we had left before returning to Barcelona.

And I loved Tarragona and felt bad that I couldn’t stay longer. It’s not a very big city but it’s lovely. If you are looking for a place to go outside of Barcelona I would definitely recommend this [a little advice: on monday every sight has closed].

Let the pictures convince you.

Sitges & Bacardi museum

Hola, Hola.

Yesterday I went with two other friends to Sitges.

Sitges is a small town located 30 minutes from Barcelona by train. If you buy a single ticket you pay 8,20 Euros for both ways. But if you are a bigger group I would recommend to buy the T-10 for 3 zones. Then it’s around 6 Euros.

Once there the best thing is to explore the city. As you might have guessed it’s not very big so you can walk anywhere. I love this town, as the streets were really small and cozy. Also loved walking by the beach. Sadly the winter has sort of arrived to Spain.. So at the beginning of the day it was really cloudy but then it got nicer at around 3 p.m.

A friend of mine recommended that we should go to Bacardi museum.

So we booked the tickets online. They have different hours when they do the tours and you can also see in what language the tour is going to be [they have it in Spanish and English]. You can also buy the tickets there and in other tourist shops around Barcelona. For students it’s 5 Euros and for adults it’s 8. But they never checked our student card. The tour was really fun and I learned a lot. It wasn’t very long but definetly entertaining.

At the end of the tour you learn how to prepare the most famous cocktails [Mojito, Cuba Libre, Daiquiri etc.] and they are soo tasty. After that you chose one cocktail and prepare it yourself and also drink it haha.

After that we went to a nice restaurant called Picara. Just so you know the drinks are really expensive in Sitges. A cocktail is about 8 Euros.

Around 10 p.m. we took the train back to Barcelona. Some locals told me that to be sure you should take the last train at around 11 p.m.
